Mugen Seiki MSX1: A New 1/10 4WD Electric Buggy Kit
Mugen Seiki has introduced the MSX1 (part #B3001), a 1/10 scale 4WD electric off-road buggy kit aimed at racers. The announcement focuses on drivetrain and geometry adjustability. Pricing and a release date were not included in the announcement.
What's new
The headline feature is front and rear gearboxes that can be mounted at three different heights, which changes the differential position and gives racers another way to tune handling for different track surfaces.
The drivetrain also includes a slipper clutch for managing power delivery and an adjustable front one-way, so drivers can change how the front end behaves under power and off throttle.
Hardware
The MSX1 is built on a 2.5mm A7075 (T6) aluminum chassis with an 8-degree kick-up. Up front it uses 7-degree aluminum caster blocks, and it ships with a lightweight Lexan body.
Mugen did not publish dimensions, weight, or gearing details in the announcement we reviewed.

What you'll need to complete it
This is a kit, and Mugen's list of required items is long: a 2-channel radio system (transmitter, receiver, and servo), transmitter batteries, a motor, an ESC, a battery and charger, body paint, and wheels plus tires with foam inserts. Budget for all of those on top of the kit price.
