Arrma Infraction Grom: A 1/12 Scale, 50+ MPH Street Basher for $249.99

New ReleaseArrmaMini/Micro

Arrma's Grom platform now has a street basher. The Infraction Grom 3S BLX 4X4 packs the look of the full-size Infraction into a compact 1/12 scale all-road truck that Arrma says can top 50 mph.

Speed on a leash

The Grom uses Arrma's PowerGuard system: out of the box it runs in Adrenaline Mode at 30+ mph (48+ km/h), and the included PowerKey unlocks full Chaos Mode for 50+ mph (80+ km/h). That makes it easier to learn on and lets you step up to full speed when you're ready.

Spektrum Dynamic Stability Control helps keep slides under control, so drifting the truck around is more forgiving than on a typical small basher.

Hardware

Electronics are a Spektrum SLT 2-in-1 40A brushless ESC and receiver, a Spektrum Firma 4350Kv brushless motor, an SX114 servo, and the SLT2 2.4GHz transmitter with DSC. The drivetrain is an enclosed metal 4X4 setup, and the truck rides on dBoots Hoons white-compound belted tires with a quick-release, clipless body.

Price, versions, and release date

Horizon Hobby lists the Infraction Grom (ARA2315T1, white) at $249.99 for pre-order, releasing October 21. Retailer listings also show ARA2315ST1, ST2, and ST3 versions priced at $289.99, which appear to be the battery-and-charger bundle versions — confirm what's included on the specific listing before you order.

The base version needs a 3S LiPo battery, charger, and a USB power supply to run. These aren't in our tracked pricing yet, so the links below go to the retailers through our affiliate links. They land on each store's homepage; search ARA2315 once you're there.
